Formerly a member of Wolf Eyes and consummate collaborator with the likes of Jason Lescalleet, Lucrecia Dalt, Body/Head and the occasional chicken, Aaron Dilloway's solo practice translates physicality into mischievously confounding loops by way of prepared tape, random objects, electronic gadgets and his own mortal frame. With performances that assault and disjoint the nerves to nibbled wires, the Dilloway train's stop at Volta's Echo Chamber will, for better or worse, provide just the right kind of immersive, inescapable conduit for jolting the senses past the point of oblivion.

The kicks and punches of Terrine's sound are nothing to mess with: Claire Gapenne, also of Headwar, Me Donner and Jazzoux, has been consistently fraying the edges of electronic music for over a decade with her unplaceable brand of anti-techno minimalism. On her latest release on Bruit Direct Disques (the saucily titled Jazz Band Theory), head-clanging beats and crumblin metallic samplings are disrupted by earnest instrumental segments that just as soon get demolished by the impishly jarring strategies of Terrine's unmaking.

Scanty Canteen Music (SCM) is the erratic DJ project of Brussels-based visual artist Maarten Raskin, founder of Swallowing Helmets and long-time instigator of collaborative experiments, from the raw post-punk of Lemones to the crooked disco of Crash Toto. For this KRAAK night, SCM extends that lineage into a porous club-cum-canteen situation, unfolding the evening as a chain of unstable episodes. Each set grows out of scavenged fragments: deranged cumbia riddims, corroded acid lines, out-of-tune family karaoke tapes, buttery flakka beats, before collapsing and mutating into the next.
