SEPTEMBER KNEWS

Typo stays because this is old!

"Crazy to see some rust in the green already." Dylan's Neil Youngian train musings do set a knowing tone. For here we are, after a summer of sure chaos that still has a few days of unfolding left. In the spirit of adding to the good things, we're gearing up for what will hopefully be an Indian summer, if not of the weather, at least of the spirits. For that to happen:

SEPTEMBER SHOWS

- 18 SEPTEMBER AT SMOG (BRUSSELS): KROG III featuring Catherina Evens, Li Song, W. Ravenveer

Our third and long-awaited collaborative bill with the great people at Smog features the habitual mix of the classical and the weird, featuring folks doing one or the other or both or the in-between. For this one, we're stoked to feature the squigglyworld-based modular jams of Antwerp's own W. Ravenveer, the technofuturist resonances of London-based artist Li Song, and the textural frequencies enacted by the young Belgian pianist Catharina Evens. Suddenly the rust doesn't feel so rusty ~ more and all info here!

- 28 SEPTEMBER AT MILL (BRUSSELS): IV26 x KRAAK featuring Barn Sour, Duncan Harrison and Tzu Ni

Haunted soundscapes, layman poetry and, in the hay of it all, revelations: unreal sonic mysteries come out to play in this first collaboration between KRAAK and IV Project Space. Conjuring these sublime visions and surrealist confessions will be Canada's Barn Sour with his haunted bestial glossolalia, Britain's Duncan Harrison with his environmental disarmings, and Taiwan's Tzu Ni's with her spatial poetry unleashed in time ~ sensory criss-crossing with a side of probable disquiet await ~ read all about it here.

NEW RELEASE ALERT: Razen - Mirages

Newsletter subscribers hear about it first! It's been long time a'comin, and we couldn't be more excited to end the label's year with this one: Razen returns, this time as a trio with the improbable and genius addition of Guilhem All on turntables. Recorded during a five-day residency in Volta's Echo Chamber, Mirages is a shadowy figment of sonic seeking filled with inquisitive and unrelenting prompts by flute, oscillator and chopped up wax that send the listener on a full-on visionary journey

Preorders are open on our Bandcamp, and vinyl copies will be out in time for the release show, which will be a very special evening with the Lise gang at De Koer in Ghent ~ more about that soon, but 18 October is the date to remember!
